WASH Training - Low cost Sanitation Systems & Technologies

This training introduces low cost sanitation using instruction and hands-on experience. Participants will gain a clear understanding of the issues and best practices included in sanitation and will work with concrete and construct basic latrine components and hand washing stations.

By the end of this training participants will be able to: 

• Demonstrate how to construct a latrine slab
• Describe excreta management options
• Calculate pit sizes for latrines and wastewater disposal facilities
• Describe best solid waste management practices
• Describe best wastewater disposal practices
